Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for car wash equipment, including PLC-based control systems, motor drives, sensors, and actuators.
• Select and specify electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, power supplies, motors, and safety devices.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL 508 and UL73, CE (not applicable‑only for EU products), and relevant local or environmental regulations).
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems within equipment designs.
• Support manufacturing by providing clear build documentation, troubleshooting electrical issues on the production floor, and assisting with first article builds.
• Develop and execute electrical testing and validation plans, including functional testing, safety testing, and failure analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within an industrial, automation, or heavy equipment manufacturing environments.
• Functional / Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and grounding.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to read, create, and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and certification requirements.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting skills for electrical and control system issues.
• Proficiency with engineering documentation tools and Microsoft Office; experience with electrical CAD software preferred.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable instructions for manufacturing and service teams.

Salary and Location

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000

Location: Onsite in Arvada, CO

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job‑related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
