Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer. Time Type: Full time. Employee Type: Regular. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret. Travel: Up to 25% across Continental US.
The Opportunity
CACI seeks an Electrical Power Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to work with a highly technical team with a desire to travel to programs across the continental United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist in engineering, design, and installation of electrical power systems
- Design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry
- Analyze equipment to establish operating data
- Conduct experimental tests
- Develop designs according to system requirements
- Work hands on installing, repairing and maintenance of generators, motors, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), control panels, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems such as timers, circuit breakers, feeders, coils, and relays.
- Train staff in system repairs, operations, procedures and troubleshooting
- Use of electrical test equipment
- Determine root cause of malfunctions and correct them
- Work with industrial, military and commercial electrical wiring, repair and maintenance as well as mechanical-system troubleshooting
- Design schematics and wiring diagrams for implementation
- Work in a team environment, Quality Team Member
- Write customer system specific installation and operator maintenance manuals which include detailed drawings, test plans and procedures
- Coordinate procurement of electrical components from commercial and DOD vendors to meet requirements
- Collaborate with engineering staff
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- BSEE from an ABET accredited college or university
- Working knowledge of single and 3 phase circuits power circuits
- 7+ years working experience
Desired:
- Military communications experience in a tactical environment
- Active TS/SCI
- Five plus years commercial/industrial electrical experience
- EE-98J Journeyman Electrical License or relevant experience
- Familiarity with the NFPA-70 National Electric Code
Pay Range
$85,800 - $180,200.
