We are seeking a motivated and talented electrical or electronics engineer to join the Electronics Systems Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. ARL focuses on researching and developing innovative solutions for challenging scientific, engineering, and technological problems supporting the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC). You will develop custom hardware and autonomous software/firmware across platforms from small embedded systems to complex networked systems. This position can be filled at an intermediate or advanced level based on education and experience. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, with a Master's preferred; 2+ years of related experience for the intermediate level. Higher levels require additional experience or education.
The work location is initially on-site in State College, PA, with potential for hybrid work. Occasional travel may be required for testing and meetings.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and will undergo a security investigation. Employment includes a pre-employment drug screen.

The salary range is $86,300 - $164,000, with details on Penn State's pay structure.
