Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, is seeking an Electrical EIT/Coordinator to join our Building Electrical team. You will assist in electrical design, coordinate with owners, and manage small to mid-size projects, ensuring alignment with other disciplines.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering bachelor’s, EIT, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI, and EasyPower. A collaborative, employee-owned culture supports growth and professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• 2+ years experience designing electrical lighting, power and systems for building projects; EIT.
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical engineering techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with owners to develop recommendations.
• Review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write/edit electrical specifications, select equipment and devices.
• Handle contract administration with field inspections and conflict resolution.
• Decide on significant design and engineering features as needed.
• Possibly perform Project Manager duties on small/mid-size projects.
• Supervise Electrical CAD Technicians and coordinate with architecture/engineering teams.
• Perform other duties as needed.
