Job description

Job Summary:
An Electrical Drafter is needed for a global power leader in the Fridley, MN area. This Electrical Drafter/Designer role requires 5-8 years of experience with CREO 7 (or higher) and Windchill to create detailed electrical component designs, cabling, and harnessing layouts while collaborating on multiple projects and documenting changes.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $28.57 - 40.00 per hour
Work Hours: 8am to 4pm
Education: High School

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed drawings of electrical components, diagrams, and panel layouts using CREO 7 (or higher).
2. Develop and maintain cabling and harnessing designs.
3. Document electrical drawing changes and specifications using Windchill.
4. Coordinate with other team members to design, layout, or detail components and systems.
5. Perform tasks based on change notices from lead designers across multiple projects.

Skills:

1. Expertise in cabling and harnessing.
2. Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and blueprint creation.
3. Familiarity with electrical documentation, panel layouts, and PLC I/O drawings.
4. Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 5-8 years of CREO 7 (or higher) experience focused on schematic and cabling design.
3. Proficiency with Windchill.
