Job summary

TMEIC in Brookshire, TX is seeking an Assistant Engineer to coordinate and manage engineering documents and drawings for the business unit. You will update schematics and electrical drawings with AutoCAD, release prints to Assembly and QC, and help create manufacturing instructions and product manuals.

You will provide technical guidance to production staff, maintain revision control, and work with cross-functional teams to drive documentation quality and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Coordinate and manage engineering documents and drawings for the BU engineers.
• Prepare and ensure accurate release of schematics and drawings to Assembly and QC.
• Create work instructions and procedures for manufacturing as directed.
• Provide technical content for product manuals, aligned with specifications.
• Interpret drawings to support production personnel and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain revision control and comply with change processes.
• Suggest improvements to documentation and design workflows with teams.

Responsibilities

• Update schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD to standards.
• Release print schematics and drawings to Assembly and QC with accuracy.
• Prepare manufacturing instructions and procedures as directed.
• Contribute technical content for product manuals.
• Advise production on drawings and resolve technical questions.
• Track revisions through the product lifecycle and change controls.
• Identify opportunities for documentation/process improvements with engineering and manufacturing.
