Job summary

Technosoft Engineering seeks a Distribution Engineer to support traditional and underground distribution design across OH, PA, NJ, and NY. You will analyze pole loading, voltage drop, flicker, and perform field work when needed to support projects from scoping to execution.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or 4-year non-engineering degree, 6+ years in utility distribution, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, and other design tools, while applying NESC/NEC/IEEE

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a design-related field or 4-year non-engineering degree.
• 6+ years of experience in electric utility distribution or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and applicable codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review sketches and work packages for overhead and underground distribution facilities (4 kV through 38 kV).
• Perform pole loading analyses, voltage drop and flicker calculations, and BOMs.
• Plan modifications and oversee complex tasks, providing construction support and field verification.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to scope and execute distribution projects.
