Job summary

You will review client data, specify conductors and spans, and support construction activities on site and in the field.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial engineering and 0+ years experience.
Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD or MicroStation, GIS a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems.
Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
Perform structural analysis for wood pole loading and guying calculations.
Specify conductor sags and tensions for spans.
Calculate voltage drop and flicker; provide engineering support during construction.
Conduct post-construction reviews for standards compliance.
Coordinate with utilities and field design requirements.
Develop large design packages for dense urban projects.
Create work permits, easements, and ROW applications.
Travel locally and perform field and office work.
