The position involves designing electrical systems for healthcare, senior living, and multi-family residential projects. Candidates should have a strong background in low voltage design, experience with Revit, and be familiar with electrical codes. A hybrid work schedule is available after initial training. Qualifications

Job Description

Electrical Designer

This is a Direct Hire, full time opportunity. A Hybrid Schedule will be offered after initial onboarding/training period; 1-2 days in the office per week.

Salary Range:
  • $65 – 95K, depending on experience

Summary:
The Electrical Designer will work on challenging building electrical systems for healthcare, senior living and multi-family residential projects.

Job Duties:
  • Interior and exterior lighting layout drawings, fixture specification and control systems for code compliance and energy savings.
  • Exterior photometric analysis for community approvals.
  • Normal and emergency power distribution drawings, panel schedules and riser diagrams.
  • Low voltage system integration and coordination. These include fire alarm, access control, communications, IT/ data, security, nurse/ help call, audio-visual.
  • System analysis for fault current and selective coordination.
  • Following completion of design documents, input may be required during the municipal or health department plan review and permitting process.
  • During construction you will be involved with contractors and field staff to answer questions, review product submittals and make on-site observations of the work.
Requirements:
  • Electrical design experience for low voltage building systems
  • A working understanding of the National Electric Code and model energy codes is required
  • Candidates are responsible for creating CAD drawings of their work
  • Prior experience using Revit
  • Qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • EIT/PE preferred for degreed engineering candidates
