Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Electrical Designer to support electrical design projects from Charlotte, NC and nearby areas. You will produce construction drawings for Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Electrical Details, and related diagrams, working with a diverse project mix.

The role requires at least 5 years of electrical design experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and lighting software, plus NEC knowledge. Travel willingness and US citizenship/driver's license are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better; 5+ years in electrical design including power, lighting and fire alarm.
• US citizen with valid driver’s license preferred; ability to travel.
• Experience with federal/municipal government, healthcare or aviation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design on large and small projects with coordination across disciplines.
• Develop electrical drawings including exterior/interior lighting, power plans and panel schedules.
• Perform lighting, voltage drop and load calculations and ensure code compliance.
• Lead discipline design and provide field support for retrofit applications and as-builts.
