Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a design engineer to produce designs and documentation using CAD/PLM systems. You will document parts and Bills of Materials (BOM) and lead small segments of larger projects to completion.

The role requires proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or Pro Engineer and CAD/AutoCAD, plus a customer-driven, quality-minded approach and strong judgment in problem solving.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Design or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience required.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Pro Engineer or AutoCAD.
Customer driven and quality minded with good judgment in design work.

Responsibilities

Produce designs and documentation using CAD/PLM systems.

Job description

Produce designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
Document parts and bills of materials (BOM).
Lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments.
Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems.
Detects and corrects errors.
Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes.
Maintain competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
Maintains awareness and adherence to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
May be required to travel to various locations to support products and/or train personnel.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Design or Engineering Technology (or related discipline) is required; OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of an Associate’s Degree.
Experience in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Pro Engineer or CAD/AutoCAD.
Customer driven, innovative and quality-minded in performance of all assigned duties.
