Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer I to design and draft electrical construction plans for data centers and other major commercial projects. You will work under project managers and engineers to meet project requirements and deadlines, applying AutoCAD standards and BIM coordination where applicable.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, hands-on drafting experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience as an electrical designer/drafter.
• Ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers, Engineers and Designers.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by deadlines, and possess the ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Communication skills both written and verbal are required.
• Knowledge of the principles within engineering and construction field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, and publish electrical construction documents for data centers and high-profile commercial projects.
• Perform drafting work under the direction of project managers and engineers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
• Create and maintain company-specific AutoCAD standards and technical details.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve design challenges and improve drafting processes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Support project documentation, including design revisions, as‑built drawings, and technical submittals.
• Assist in the integration of Revit models and BIM coordination when applicable.
