Job summary

Salas O’Brien in Moore, OK is seeking an Electrical Designer/Engineer to join a fast-paced, multi-discipline team. You will design electrical distribution, lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for educational, municipal, and commercial facilities using AutoCAD and Revit.

Candidates should have an associates or bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field, 3–5 years of relevant design experience, and a Professional Engineer license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience designing electrical systems for various facilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT required.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical distribution system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Design lighting, power distribution, emergency power, and fire alarm systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Assist in editing electrical system specifications.
• Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components.
• Review equipment submittals for compliance with contract documents.
• Observe and report on electrical construction work in progress.
• Interact with project team members and leaders.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Designer/Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Our Electrical Designers focus primarily on the design of building related projects, including educational facilities , healthcare (hospital, clinic, diagnostic) , i ndigenous, municipal, and retail/commercial spaces using Revit and AutoCAD software.

In this role, you will:

• Develop electrical distribution system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
• Understand and design lighting systems, power distribution systems , emergency power supply systems , and fire alarm systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment .
• Assist in e dit ing electrical system specifications .
• Survey existing buildings and identify existing electrical systems and their components .
• Review equipment submittals for compliance with the C ontract D ocuments .
• Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress .
• Interact with project team members and leaders .

You will be a great fit if:

• You have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program , or similar.
• You are registered as a Professional Engineer in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain).
• You have 3-5 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
• You have design experience in commercial , municipal and institutional projects.
• You have hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
