Ghafari Associates in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Summer 2027 New Graduate Electrical Designer D2 to apply electrical analysis and drafting skills for lighting, power, and low-voltage systems in building projects. You will produce construction documents, coordinate with architects and engineers, and perform field measurements to support project development.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering, have internship experience in building design, and prefer an Engineer in Training (EIT) license.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
Internship experience in building design consulting preferred.
Engineer in Training (EIT) license preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering knowledge to design and analyze electrical systems for installation and interconnection in compliance with codes.
Create construction documents using CAD software (Revit/AutoCAD) and provide CAD support to senior staff.
Produce well-coordinated construction documents adhering to company standards.
Collaborate with project team to resolve design and document coordination challenges.
Update project specifications for electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
Review submittals for conformance with contract documents and provide necessary actions.
Conduct field measurements and site inspections to verify existing conditions and data for project development.
