Job summary

Taylor Technical Services in West Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to develop power and controls design packages for industrial facilities. You will collaborate with drafters and engineers in a fast-paced project-driven environment, using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation to produce plans, diagrams, and schedules.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical design experience and formal AutoCAD training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical design using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and/or MicroStation.
• Formal training in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience coordinating with drafters and engineers across multiple design disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design packages for industrial facilities with minimal supervision.
• Apply NFPA 70 (NEC) and API RP 500 to ensure compliance and safety.
• Coordinate electrical power and controls design with engineers and project managers.
• Utilize AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation for drafting and package development.
• Adhere to internal and client drafting standards and procedures.
