Job summary

Brookfield Renewable N.A. in Queensbury, NY seeks a Designer A to support the Engineering Department with drafting for minor construction projects and parts of major projects.

You will prepare drawings, maps and diagrams, perform basic engineering computations, and assist in cost estimates and field data collection according to construction standards. Responsibilities include developing project drawings, assisting with land maps, and guiding junior drafting staff to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Education in applicable engineering subjects.
• Training and working knowledge of CAD systems.
• Four years' experience in drafting, including elementary and advanced detailing.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in construction.
• Ability to handle, use and apply required mathematics.
• Full knowledge of, view and scale selection and drawing layout.
• Ability to work with and guide the work of others.
