Job Title: Electrical Designer

Position Summary

Seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in power and lighting design to create comprehensive electrical designs for a diverse range of projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all designs meet functional requirements and compliance standards.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and produce detailed drawings for lighting, power, and electrical distribution systems across various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client expectations.
  • Perform lighting and power engineering calculations to support design decisions.
  • Design electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Support the procurement process by evaluating and specifying appropriate materials and equipment for new electrical infrastructure, as well as reviewing vendor proposals.
  • Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and scope of work while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications
  • Vocational Certificate or Associate's degree in Engineering Design or Drafting.
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience in the architectural/built environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC) with the ability to perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM PowerTools).
  • Competency in AutoCAD.
