Tulsa, OK or Bentonville, AR (Candidates must reside or relocate to one of these locations)

This role is hybrid, requiring successful candidates to work in our office at least 3 days a week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team.
  • In this role, you will leverage your power and lighting design experience and technical expertise to create comprehensive electrical designs for a variety of projects.
  • You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and compliance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and produce drawings for buildings lighting, power and electrical distribution systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Perform lighting and power engineering calculations.
  • Design electrical systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Support the procurement process by evaluating and specifying appropriate materials and equipment for new electrical infrastructure and reviewing vendor proposals.
  • Adhere to project schedules, budgets and scope of work.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment.

  • Expertise in electrical distribution systems, power design, and lighting design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational Certificate or Associates degree in Engineering Design or Drafting.
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience in the architectural / built environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IBC, IECC).
  • Capable of performing calculations and analyses to support design decisions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred):

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards licensure.
  • Proficiency in electrical analysis software (e.g., SKM PowerTools).
  • Competency in AutoCAD
