Job description

CASCO is seeking an Electrical Designer to assist with the preparation of engineering drawings. As part of the Electrical team, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to coordinate design elements for a variety of clients, including local and national retail, healthcare, education, and municipal projects.

Within the Electrical department, you will play an integral role in providing services to a large client base in an energetic environment. We are looking for talented and driven professionals to join our team in this important role.

As an Electrical Designer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing project systems according to code and CASCO Standards;
  2. Assisting with client relations, project designs, and documentation for all phases of design and construction;
  3. Coordinating design and schedules with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, and plumbing;
  4. Documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress;
  5. Reviewing design methods, procedures, scope changes, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer;
  6. Conducting periodic job site visits and as-built surveys.

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of design techniques and software for technical plans and drawings;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office;
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients in person, on the phone, and via email.
