Job summary

Entergy is seeking a supervisor for the design area to oversee daily activities of the DDs in New Caney, Texas. The role includes supervising design work, coordinating with planners, and ensuring adherence to NEC/NESC codes and company standards.

The position requires a technical degree and 10 years of electrical distribution experience, with 2 years in design using DIS/GDT/Maximo. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent Electrical Distribution work experience.
• 10 years cumulative Electrical Distribution/Transmission/Substation experience OR 5 years Distribution technical experience.
• 2 years Distribution Design experience with DIS, GDT or Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Approve timesheets, monitor time off and union agreements where applicable.
• Coordinate workload with Planners/Schedulers and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Approve design jobs up to $150k including revenue calculations, CIAC and taxes, drawings, and code interpretation.
• Provide post-construction audits and correct designer mistakes.
• Assist with difficult design issues and customer issues or complaints.
• Provide basic surveying, field operation training and safety procedures for the DDs.
• Perform office audits and other safety-related tasks.
