PACO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Jersey City, NJ, to support design standards and quality assurance across Port Authority facilities.

The role focuses on reviewing Tenant Alteration Applications and design audits, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and Port Authority standards. Ideal candidates have a PE license in NY or NJ and a solid background with medium-voltage systems, coordination across disciplines, and strong communication skills to liaise with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New York and/or New Jersey is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of diverse professional experience involving building electrical codes and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design and construction documents for Tenant Alteration Applications (TAA), Design Audit projects, and other Port Authority facility projects.
• Perform technical reviews of electrical systems, including medium-voltage systems above 600 volts, to verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with tenants, facilities personnel, and design professionals to ensure code compliance and project progression.
• Prepare memoranda and correspondence transmitting consolidated review comments to project stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with Architects and Engineers of Record to discuss technical review comments and resolve issues.
