Designer Intern at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Engineering Services in Plano, TX seeks a motivated student to work full-time in summer or part-time during school year. You will help create detailed physical and electrical designs, BOMs, and estimates under engineer supervision, and prepare CAD or Microstation drawings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program related to EET, CAD or drafting.
• Demonstrated CAD drafting ability (AutoCAD and/or Microstation).
• Strong writing, documentation and verbal communication skills.
• Able to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs, BOMs, and estimates under supervision.
• Prepare CAD or Microstation drawings and project documentation.
• Provide basic engineering support to engineers and colleagues.
• Complete tasks on schedule and within budget with high quality.
• Construct relay equipment racks for testing and assist with testing.
