Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 1+ years of experience in consulting engineering to design electrical systems for energy‑efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver bid‑ready designs, integrate renewable energy concepts, and support all project phases from design through construction.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• EIT preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead electrical design projects.
• Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, renewables and low‑voltage systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural and architectural teams.
• Lead projects with clear communication and high‑quality deliverables.
• Review submittals and ensure code compliance during construction.
• Provide technical advocacy for the client during construction.
