Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize electrical components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that meet performance, efficiency, and reliability requirements.

The role includes prototyping, testing, and documenting designs with a focus on manufacturability and cost control. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1–6 years of relevant experience, with familiarity with Six Sigma

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
1–6 years of experience in design engineering.
Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency in CAD software.

Responsibilities

Create detailed designs for electrical components.
Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance metrics such as efficiency, torque, and durability.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, meet industry standards, and ensure product specifications meet or exceed expectations.
Prepare technical documentation.
Identify opportunities to enhance designs for improved efficiency, reduced weight, and lower production costs.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
