Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to plan, manage, and coordinate engineering design work for electrical loads and electromechanical products. You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs that meet customer requirements.

You will support proposals, documentation, and product testing while developing new products in the power systems and load bank space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• 3+ years in project management in engineering/industrial settings.
• 3+ years in customer-facing technical support.
• 3+ years developing new electromechanical products.
• Experience with industrial equipment and related electrical systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to read specs, drawings, and one-line diagrams for solutions and costing.
• Strong electrical and electromechanical design skills for power applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate electrical design work for loads and electromechanical products.
• Assist Sales with technical proposals and pricing for engineered orders.
• Interpret customer specs and drawings to develop solutions and cost estimates.
• Design products balancing cost and performance for electrical/electromechanical use.
• Coordinate design handoff to Drafting for complete documentation.
• Develop test procedures and manuals for installation and operation.
