Job summary

Centrus Energy is seeking a proactive Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Kentucky. You will help design, size, and commission power-distribution and motor-control equipment for process-control applications, working with senior engineers and contractors.

Responsibilities include MCCs, switchboards, single-line diagrams, BOMs, and protection settings. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required, with 2+ years of related experience and the ability to obtain a Q

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on electrical experience in design or maintenance
• Familiar with CAD tools and electrical analysis software
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and layout MCCs, switchboards, and panelboards for facility power systems
• Create and update single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs
• Assist in specifying contactors, drives, transformers, UPS, and grounding components
• Perform load checks and basic electrical calculations under senior guidance
• Develop protection settings and interlock logic for LV/MV systems
• Support FAT, field commissioning, and safety/compliance activities
