Job summary

Stillpoint AEC in Chicago is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and coordinate electrical systems for healthcare, higher education, commercial, and industrial facilities. You will support schematic design through construction administration and develop construction documents.

Experience in an MEP/AEC consulting environment with Revit/AutoCAD proficiency is preferred, along with NEC knowledge and collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong experience in electrical design within an MEP or AEC consulting environment.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
• Strong understanding of NEC and applicable building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations including load analysis, fault current analysis, and system coordination.
• Develop construction documents including plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural teams for integrated project delivery.
• Support projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Perform Revit modeling and assist with BIM coordination efforts.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with field coordination activities.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, energy codes, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Contribute to efficient, innovative, and constructible electrical system solutions.
