Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Huntsville team, supporting development, integration, test, and evaluation of complex military systems.

The role requires the full electrical design cycle experience for military hardware, cable diagrams, and schematics, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and occasional customer interactions. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical systems hardware design and integration.
• Familiar with cable diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent skills in customer and team communication and collaboration.
• Ability to work with software and hardware.
• Multitasking of multiple parallel efforts.

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineer

Purpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Electrical Design Engineerto join our team supporting development, integration, test, and evaluation of complex military systems in Huntsville, AL.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire electrical design cycle of military systems.

Job Description:

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with developing technical design packages for complex engineering systems, preferred.
• Experience with presenting and defending technical designs and analyses, preferred.
• Circuit and Printed Circuit Board Design, preferred.
• Toolsets and familiarity: Altium, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, MATLAB, National Instruments LabView, etc, preferred.
• Army programs (DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center, Space and Missile Defense Command), preferred.
• Experience with flight test preparation and support, preferred.

Security Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel- less than 10%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. PhysicalRequirements

• May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks, or moving from one worksite to another.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
