Job summary

AGI seeks a Design Engineer II - Electrical to own electrical subsystems from concept through validation, delivering robust PCB-based solutions for connected hardware in agricultural processing environments. You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level performance and compliance with FCC, CE, UL/cUL, and other standards.

The role requires 3–7 years in electrical or embedded design, a BS in electrical engineering, and hands-on experience with PCB

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years in electrical or embedded system design.
• Experience designing embedded electronics and PCB layouts.
• Understanding the hardware development lifecycle, including design, prototyping, validation, and support.
• Experience hardware testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Familiar with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware/software interfaces.
• Ability to collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of electrical subsystems from design through validation.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, Bills-Of-Materials, and design documentation.
• Prototype and test hardware per lifecycle stages.
• Evaluate design tradeoffs for performance, cost, and complexity.
• Conduct product testing for compliance with FCC, CE, CSA, UL/cUL, ATEX.
• Integrate electrical subsystems with firmware, sensors, and mechanical systems.
• Identify risks early and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Document root-cause analyses and resolutions.
