Job summary

PACCAR Inc. is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to design and release electrical systems for Kenworth trucks. You will manage engineering processes, plan validation, and support product launches at assembly plants, while ensuring quality and reliability of components.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 0–1+ years’ experience with automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses, ECUs, and HMI elements. Proficiency with Mentor Graphics and 3D CAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 0-1+ years design & release of automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems experience.
• Experience with wiring harnesses, electronic control modules, switches, and HMI elements.
• Familiarity with Mentor Graphics, power distribution, fusing, and routing practices desired.
• Pro/E or other 3D CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and release electrical/electronic components for heavy commercial trucks.
• Manage engineering and project processes to maintain schedule and budget.
• Plan and track validation of components.
• Support product launches at vehicle assembly plants.
• Ensure quality and reliability targets are met/exceeded.
• Provide interface documentation to wiring design, system architects, and mechanical design teams.
• Develop procedures to ensure quality, reliable electronic systems.
• Contribute to development of embedded ECUs, harnesses, and system schematics.
