Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer EIT/PE to join our team in a hybrid role in New York. The ideal candidate has 6-8+ years of engineering consulting experience and strong expertise in power and lighting systems for institutional and commercial buildings.

You will design from concept through construction, develop calculations, coordinate with architecture and MEP disciplines, and mentor junior staff. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of engineering consulting experience.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT or PE License desired.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Proven experience designing power and lighting building systems for complex projects.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Experience with Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Civic/Institutional projects.
• Ability to mentor junior level staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Local Building Codes & Standards.
• Strong technical leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities
