Job summary

Crusoe is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to bridge internal teams, construction partners, and customers. You will design large-scale data center power distribution systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and rapid execution.

The role prioritizes NEC knowledge and 10+ years in data center design within a fast-paced environment. The position is office-based with potential locations in San Francisco, Denver, or Dallas; travel ~25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering design experience for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of NEC and NFPA/IEEE standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP and SKM.
• Proven track record from schematic design to construction execution with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Advance design for large-scale data center campuses from concepts to construction-ready sets.
• Design and specify electrical equipment for critical power paths, including transformers, switchgear, UPS, and distribution systems.
• Perform short-circuit, protection, arc-flash, load flow, harmonics, and transient analyses.
• Review drawings and submittals for compliance with Basis of Design.
• Support Field Engineering with RFIs, clarifications, and submittal reviews during construction.
• Participate in factory witness testing for complex electrical equipment.
