Job summary

PACCAR's Kenworth Truck Company is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer focused on Core Electrical. Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for heavy‑duty trucks using Creo Parametric and Mentor Graphics, and document wire harnesses with Siemens tools.

Coordinate projects per PCP/DFSS, manage data with Windchill/PCMS, and produce drawings and change documentation while supporting manufacturing and customers. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Siemens Capital electrical system toolsets preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD, especially Creo.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Design, development, and integration of electrical systems/architectures and electronic components for heavy-duty commercial trucks utilizing Creo Parametric and Mentor Graphics.
• Design and document wire harness assemblies using the Siemens Mentor Graphics tool suite.
• Coordinate aspects of small to large engineering projects following company Product Creation Process (PCP) methodology and Design for Six Sigma tools to quality standards (including SAE and ISO).
• Use of Windchill and PCMS for product data control from inception through engineering design, manufacturing, service and disposal.
• Create engineering documentation including component drawings, diagrams, and change documentation.
• Test coordination, manufacturing support, and customer technical support.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
