Job summary

CoolSys Energy Design - Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to transform initial red-line designs into engineering drawings using AutoCAD or Revit under supervision. The role supports rapid growth and involves detailed design work for various building projects.

The candidate will prepare drawings, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with the Senior Engineer and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• No less than 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities; high-quality technical writing skills.
• Team player with sound business ethics and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet project goals and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Willingness to work with all levels of internal staff and outside clients/vendors to understand building energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and create detailed designs for a variety of building projects.
• Create and maintain AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages.
• Incorporate selection, layout, sizing, and system/equipment requirements with guidance from Senior Engineer; including lighting and power circuitry, voltage drop, short circuit calculations.
• Develop interior and exterior lighting layouts, fixture specs, schedules, and calculations.
• Design electrical distribution and single-line drawings; coordinate with utilities.
• Assist with on-site visits and reporting; provide project support as needed.
