Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in South Carolina is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a long-term contract. The successful candidate will design AC and DC power distribution systems while ensuring compliance with local codes. Responsibilities include managing design tasks, generating bills of materials, and providing technical support during construction. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 4 years of experience are required, along with knowledge of low voltage systems and understanding of AutoCAD software. Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a long time contract opportunity. The Electircal Design Engineer will design AC and DC power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, switchgear, generators, Building Management Systems, power systems, with Power Modules and Data Centers. design to customer specifications and support electrical configuration designs for Data Centers, Switching Centers and work with integration facility to develop package for electrical systems

DUTIES:

• Create designs and design optimal power systems / DC power systems
• Design of switchgear configurations and control schemes, utilizing PLCs and/or relays
• generation of bills of material and modification of standard assemblies as required to satisfy the application
• Modbus and TCP/IP communications protocols and Ethernet
• Manage and Support to provide a detailed Schematic Design, Detail Design for electrical design of the solution
• Review and approve electrical product submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
• Quality control during integration of electrical systems
• Support for all on site integration support

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bs Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4 years electrical experience
• Professional engineering (PE) License preferred
• Knowledge of low voltage switchboard / switchgear design, installation, and use
• Knowledge of local, state, & federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchboards/switchgear
• Knowledge in AutoDesk / AutoCAD
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to research designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
• Create designs and design optimal power systems / DC power systems
• Design of switchgear configurations and control schemes, utilizing PLCs and/or relays
