  • Analyze, design, develop, integrate, and test electrical systems hardware, including boards, subsystems, and associated components.
  • Participate in trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and capability analysis to compare design options and recommend optimal technical solutions.
  • Test and evaluate electrical systems as part of a team of engineers, documenting results and driving corrective actions and improvements.
  • Develop test fixtures and prototypes as needed to diagnose, validate, or characterize specific components and system behaviors.
  • Create and maintain detailed cable diagrams and electrical schematics, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and configuration control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineering, to ensure successful integration of electrical hardware into larger systems.
  • Provide technical support to other teams as needed, troubleshooting issues and offering guidance on electrical design and integration.
  • Engage with customers and vendors to clarify requirements, discuss design decisions, address technical issues, and support program objectives.
  • Accelerate design cycles by applying efficient design practices, tools, and processes that reduce development time while maintaining quality.
  • Embrace AI-driven design and forward-leaning engineering methods, incorporating automation and artificial intelligence where appropriate to improve design quality and speed.
  • Apply digital engineering practices to model, simulate, and document electrical systems throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify technical risks related to electrical systems design and integration, and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple parallel efforts, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and aligned with project milestones.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering or science field.
  • 1015 years of experience in electrical systems hardware design and integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both software and hardware teams and technologies.
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools such as Altium and AutoCAD Electrical or similar platforms.
  • Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to complex systems, particularly in a defense or military product context.
  • Proven ability to participate in and contribute to trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and capability analyses.
  • Experience developing test fixtures and prototypes for component and system-level testing.
  • Strong skills in customer communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and respond to customer needs.
  • Excellent team communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering groups.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple parallel efforts while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience with risk identification and mitigation related to electrical design and integration.
  • Comfort with AI-driven and digital engineering concepts, and willingness to apply these approaches to accelerate design cycles.
