Position: Electrical Design Engineer, LV

Location: Humble, TX

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer with at least 2 years of switchgear manufacturing experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2D and have strong knowledge of electrical design, power distribution, and control systems. The role supports design, production, and R&D initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update approval and manufacturing drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs).
• Ensure timely release of drawings and parts to meet production schedules.
• Support manufacturing, troubleshooting, and design integration with mechanical teams.
• Provide technical support to sales and distributors.
• Participate in R&D and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards (NEC, IEEE, UL) and customer specs.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical a plus.
• Strong understanding of switchgear, switchboards, and panel boards.
• Ability to select proper protection, metering, and control components.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical design and ERP-integrated environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Education & Experience

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2–4 years of experience, OR
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3–5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing or construction.
