Job summary

Sira Consulting, an Inc 5000 company, is seeking a senior hardware engineer to lead mixed-signal and high-speed PCB design initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will architect power management networks, integrate processors/FPGA ecosystems, and ensure strict signal integrity and EMI/EMC compliance across boards.

You will mentor engineers, run design reviews, and manage cross-functional projects with firmware, mechanical, and software teams while leveraging Xpedition and related EDA tools

Qualifications

• Experience in mixed-signal design (analog and digital).
• Proficient in high-speed PCB design with impedance control.
• Design power management networks with buck/boost regulators and LDOs.
• Experience architecting systems around ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, and FPGAs.
• Strong knowledge of signal integrity and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet protocols.
• Proficient with lab instrumentation (DSO, logic analyzers, VNA, spectrum analyzer).
• Root-cause analysis and thermal management.
• Leadership and project management; mentoring, design reviews, cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Xpedition and other enterprise EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and drive cross-functional collaboration across firmware, mechanical, and software teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and own the project lifecycle from concept to board release.
• Perform architectural trade-off analyses, component selection matrices, scheduling and budgeting.
• Ensure schematic and PCB quality using enterprise EDA tools such as Xpedition.

Job description

• Design & Development:Mixed signal design, analog and digital
• High-Speed Board Design: Routing and layout for high-speed memory and interfaces like DDR3/DDR4, PCIe, and QSPI with strict impedance control.
• Power Tree Architecture: Designing complex DC-DC power management networks utilizing buck and boost regulators, low-dropout (LDO) regulators, and sequencing.
• Processor & FPGA Ecosystems: Architecting systems around advanced microprocessors, microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V), and FPGAs.Signal Integrity & EMI/EMC: Mitigating noise, crosstalk, and electromagnetic interference to ensure regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, automotive/aerospace standards).
• Protocols & Lab Verification - Bus Interfaces: Deep mastery of low-to-high-speed communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
• Advanced Lab Instrumentation: Expert usage of digital storage oscilloscopes (DSO), logic analyzers, vector network analyzers (VNA), and spectrum analyzers.Root-Cause Analysis:
• Advanced troubleshooting down to the component level, performing de-rating analysis, and thermal management.
• Leadership & Project LifecycleTeam & Technical Leadership: Mentoring junior/mid-level engineers, driving design reviews, and managing cross-functional dependencies with firmware, mechanical, and software teams.
