Electrical Design Engineer – PCB Design | Energy Sector | Dallas, TX (Remote)

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in printed circuit board (PCB) design to contribute to advanced energy solutions in highly regulated, safety-critical environments. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic engineering team solving complex challenges in power and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom PCB layouts and schematics for control and instrumentation systems.
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to define design requirements and ensure integration with broader system architectures.
• Perform circuit simulations, signal integrity analysis, and design verification for new and existing hardware.
• Support the end-to-end lifecycle of PCB projects — from concept, prototyping, and testing to production and deployment.
• Conduct troubleshooting, validation, and documentation of hardware in line with industry compliance and safety standards.
• Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and testing teams to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews and adhere to configuration management and version control practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical hardware and PCB design for instrumentation, control, or embedded systems — ideally in regulated or safety-critical industries (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, energy).
• Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of power electronics, analog/digital circuitry, grounding, and EMI/EMC principles.
• Experience with hardware debugging, signal measurement tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and bench testing procedures.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFT principles and collaboration with contract manufacturers for PCB assembly.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements such as IPC standards, IEEE, or regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, IEC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
