Job summary

Xyant Technology, Inc. seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to develop and support vehicle ECUs and Smart Security systems for automotive applications.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver robust electrical designs for features such as power sliding doors, tailgate, seats, windows and sunroof. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, with CATIA experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to work up to 30% overtime.
• Experience with ECU, body electronics, smart security, immobilizer, or vehicle electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support vehicle ECUs for features like power sliding doors, tailgate, seats, windows, and sunroof.
• Work on Smart Security systems including Smart ECU, immobilizer, antennas, and related components.
• Plan system structure and design through target setting, packaging, and style feasibility.
• Balance performance, customer requirements, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and issue design specifications to suppliers.
• Manage supplier schedules, performance, quality, and technical deliverables.
• Maintain part lists and engineering documentation.
• Issue engineering change instructions and wiring specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout vehicle development.

Job Summary:

• The Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to support the development of Functional ECUs and Smart Security systems for vehicles.
• This role will contribute to building a North American electronics center of excellence while working closely with internal engineering teams and suppliers.
