Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to create and modify electrical documentation for commercial and industrial facilities. You will produce power distribution drawings, schematics, raceway layouts, and cable schedules using 2D and 3D design tools such as SmartPlant, Revit, and AutoCAD.

You will apply applicable codes and standards, coordinate with project teams, and update deliverables to meet schedule and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical design and drafting deliverables for commercial and industrial facilities using 2D and 3D design platforms.
• Develop power distribution drawings and one-line diagrams and prepare electrical schematics.
• Plan raceway routing, conduit layout, and equipment room layouts.
• Prepare cable schedules, sizing support, and cable management plans.
• Develop grounding/bonding plans, lighting layouts, and lightning protection concepts.
• Apply electrical codes, standards, and best practices with minimal oversight.
