Job summary

STSI Group in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Assistant Electrical Designer to support electrical design activities on diverse projects. You will help create schematics, grid layouts, lighting and power systems, and contribute to the preparation of construction drawings and documentation.

You will set up CAD configurations, work with 2D/3D drawings, and assist engineers to ensure designs meet codes, standards, and schedules. A related degree with practical CAD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with related experience in drafting/design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and Excel to develop deliverables.
• Experience with 2D/3D drawings and design calculations.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing electrical project designs: schematics, grid layouts, and power systems.
• Set up CAD configuration and procedures at project start for design team.
• Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches using CAD software.
• Review drawings within scope, budget and schedule; meet deadlines.
• Organize revisions of project drawings and related information.
