Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the electrical engineering staff, oversee design and analysis, and support field and fabrication offices. The role emphasizes safety, standards compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in engineering with supervisory project management, PE licensure or plan to obtain within a year, and strong knowledge of NFPA, IEEE, and API codes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience including 2+ years of supervisory project management.
• BS in Engineering from ABET accredited university required. MS degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer License or commitment to get PE licensure within one (1) year of accepting the job.
• In-depth experience with NFPA, IEEE and API codes and practices.
• Working knowledge of construction methods and best practices.
• Knowledge of project management terms, metrics and procedures.
• Experience delegating work and planning between multiple responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office; modeling software experience preferred; AutoCAD knowledge desirable.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the Electrical engineering staff, as well as performing design and analysis as directed to support various field and fabrication offices.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of engineering experience including 2+ years of previous engineering supervisory project management experience.
• BS in Engineering from ABET accredited university required. MS degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer License or commitment to get PE licensure within one (1) year of accepting the job.
• In-depth experience in industry standards including NFPA, IEEE and API codes and practices
• Working knowledge of construction methods and best practices.
• Knowledge of project management terms, metrics and procedures.
• Experience delegating work and work planning between multiple responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, PSS, or other modeling software is preferred. Understanding of AutoCAD processes is also desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Occasional overtime and travel may be required.

• Serves as the technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles and methods in an assigned area.
• Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purposes of recommending changes in programs or applications.
• Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates assignments.
• Plans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects, or is responsible for an entire program of an organization.
• Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
• Supervises all staff of electrical engineers.
• Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates and terminates subordinate personnel. Establishes department and individual goals/objectives and directs, and actively participates as necessary, subordinate personnel in achievement of responsibilities and objectives.
• Receives administrative supervision with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
• Routinely interacts with PMs, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
• Leads project meetings and makes presentations.
• Represents the organization and maintains liaisons with individuals and related organizations.
