Job summary

QCS Staffing seeks an Electrical Cost Engineer for a Texas-based, 12-month contract in the life sciences and high-tech manufacturing sector. You will manage cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and dashboards to track electrical scope and financial status on large scale projects.

You will support estimating and procurement with take-offs, material forecasting, and validation of subcontractor costs, working with a major contractor delivering data centre and semiconductor facilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive construction estimating experience required.
• Experience in industrial/hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required.

• Monitor and analyse electrical costs across bid packages, change orders, field directives, and client-defined cost categories to ensure accurate project reporting.
• Develop project controls, KPIs, and cost dashboards to provide clear visibility of electrical scope performance and financial status.
• Support estimating and procurement activities through quantity take-offs, document reviews, material forecasting, and validation of subcontractor and supplier cost proposals.

As one of largest and most established general contractors in the Pacific Northwest, they are seeking an Electrical Cost Engineer to support their large scale project based in Texas, US.

What You’ll Deliver
