Job summary

Huhtamaki, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician to join our manufacturing site in the United States. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade plant electrical systems, programs, and databases to support safe, efficient production.

The role requires PLC work, schematic design, and collaboration with vendors and other departments. We value safety, problem solving, and hands-on leadership on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge and experience with typical equipment software and PLC programming.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Database skills and knowledge recommended.
• Experience with all Microsoft Office software.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety training programs.
• Must be able to operate forklift and aerial lifts with certification.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and written.
• Must coordinate work with external suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Observe and participate in Safety and Continuous Improvement programs.
• Troubleshoots plant equipment with emphasis on complex electrical issues.
• Maintain plant systems, troubleshoot and program modifications and our plant process control database.
• Modifies and updates existing electrical equipment, software and programs.
• Lead projects or be part of a project team.
• Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Work overtime as required to meet customer’s needs.
