Job summary

Massman Companies, a leader in precision automated machinery, seeks a Controls Programmer to design and implement control systems for state-of-the-art packaging machinery. You will program PLCs and HMIs, integrate advanced control architectures, and troubleshoot complex automation challenges to ensure peak machine performance.

Required expertise includes PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred), HMI development, motion control, and knowledge of NEC/NFPA/UL codes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in controls, automation, or electrical assembly.
• High School diploma or GED required; related degree preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated PLC programming expertise (Allen Bradley strongly preferred) and HMI development.
• Experience with motion control systems, robotics, and industrial networks.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, UL electrical codes.
• Proven troubleshooting and customer support abilities.

Description

As Controls Programmer you will play a critical role in bringing our machines to life. You’ll program PLCs and HMIs, integrate advanced control systems, and troubleshoot complex electrical and automation challenges to ensure peak machine performance.

Using your strong knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, UL), schematics, communication networks, motion control, and machine safety standards, you’ll help ensure our equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Candidates for this role will have:

• 5+ years of experience in controls, automation, or electrical assembly.
• High School diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise with PLC programming, (Allen Bradley strongly preferred) and HMI development.
• Experience with motion control systems, robotics, and industrial networks required.
• Experience with electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, UL).
• Proven track record of troubleshooting and customer support.
