Job summary

Xylem is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer in the United States (New Jersey) to expand sale and rental of temporary and portable control systems for dewatering equipment. You will design control layouts, assist field teams, review specs, troubleshoot, and participate in an 8-week apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical shop activities.

Requirements include a bachelor's in EE and 2+ years in industrial automation, with PLC/HMI programming, AutoCAD, and ability to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years in industrial automation/control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, engineering specs, and P&IDs.
• PLC/HMI programming experience; control panel design and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittal documents for customers.
• Develop control system layout and wiring schematics in AutoCAD.
• Assist field technicians during startups and commissioning.
• Review product specs to select pump and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot performance issues with rental equipment.
• Perform job walks with sales and answer technical questions.
• Assist with control system performance testing.
• Participate in training and apprenticeship activities.
