Our client in Marietta, GA is hiring an early-career Electrical Controls Engineer who’s ready to work hands-on with automation systems across the country. This hybrid role includes both office/shop work and up to 70% travel to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and program PLCs, HMIs, and control panels
Use AutoCAD or EPLAN to generate electrical schematics
Wire machines, debug control systems, and assist with builds
Travel for installations, commissioning, and operator training
Collaborate with engineers and project managers on configurations
Support testing, documentation, and system proposals
You Should Have:
Experience with PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens
CAD design skills (AutoCAD Electrical )
Solid understanding of control systems and industrial protocols
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot in the field
Willingness to travel up to 70%
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
Bonus Skills:
Experience with robotics or motion controls
Knowledge of Ladder Logic or Python
Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma practices
