Job summary

S.E.A. Group in Perrysburg, OH seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to implement and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLC/HMI commissioning, data collection, and optimization of manufacturing tools.

You will support US customer manufacturing tool controls, coordinate new equipment installation, maintain up-to-date electrical drawings, troubleshoot controls issues, and collaborate across departments while upholding safety standards and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; or equivalent years of work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing equipment controls engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoDesk AutoCad drafting software to create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Logix PLCs, Ladder and Function Block Diagrams.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation HMI.
• Knowledge of PLC Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms.
• Knowledge of robotic systems including safety requirements and design/implementation practices.
• Experience with motion controls including stepper motors, servo motors, and AC/DC drives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database configuration.

Responsibilities

• Supporting US customer manufacturing tool controls.
• Assisting with coordination of new equipment installation and implementation.
• Maintaining and updating manufacturing process tool electrical drawings, ensuring the tracking of equipment changes is documented, and drawings are kept current.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving equipment controls-related issues and recommending controls policy/standard changes, if possible, to prevent future issues with new manufacturing process tools.
• Interfacing with multiple departments within the organization and customer stakeholders to ensure controls policies/standards are understood and being adhered to.
• Maintaining effective communication levels and fostering team building.
• Ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Maintaining OSHA 10 – General Industry certification and participating in additional safety training as required.

Electrical Controls Engineer

• Experience in controls engineering techniques and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic control systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and safety requirements.
• Experience using AutoDesk AutoCad drafting software to create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Logix platform PLC’s, including ladder and function block diagrams.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
• Knowledge of PLC Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms.
• Knowledge of robotic systems including safety requirements and design/implementation practices.
• Experience with motion controls including stepper motors, servo motors, and AC/DC Drives.
• Understanding of computer hardware/applications and the Microsoft Office family.
• Some Microsoft SQL Server Database configuration experience.
• Experience in at least one multi-tiered architecture using C#, VB.NET, HTML, XML and SQL.

Reporting Relationships:

Travel:

• Up to 50% - Primarily domestic with some international, as needed to support project requirements.
  
  
  

Estimated Salary Range:

• $36 - $40/hr, based on location and experience.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift
