Job summary

Komline in Rockford, IL seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and implement electrical control systems for filtration equipment, including PLC/HMI programming and drawing packages.

You will review specifications, develop control designs, run-offs with project teams, and support installations at customer sites, travel up to 25%. This role requires a B.E.E. with 3+ years of automation experience and familiarity with NEC, NFPA79, UL508A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 3+ years in design, repair and analysis of control systems and automation
• B.S.E.E. degree; a two year technical degree in electronics may be acceptable with experience
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, and UL508A
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens Step 7, and TIA Portal
• Comfortable working in automotive plants

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and company quotes
• Develop electrical control designs using applicable specs
• Create electrical drawing packages for parts, system production and PLC/HMI programming
• Create PLC and HMI programs to company and customer specs
• Conduct internal system run-off with project team and production
• Coordinate with customers, staff and outside contractors for installation/repair of control systems
• Provide detailed status reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical direction and problem resolution for programs/projects
